BCS FORTRAN SPECIALIST GROUP
The next meeting of the Group will be held on Thursday 19 January 1989 from
10.30 am to 4.00 pm at BCS HQ, 13 Mansfield Street, London. (Please note that
the date was incorrect in the previous set of minutes).
The morning meeting will be normal business including a report from the recent
X3J3 meeting in Boston. The afternoon session is entitled "Fortran pre-
processors - past and future". The future will be described by Graham Barber who
works for EPCL in Edinburgh and who is a user of a Gould Fortran pre-processor
which takes ordinary Fortran and generates code suitable for a Fortran 88
compiler. There will also be a short historical review of pre~processors by
David Muxworthy.
Please bring this notice to the attention of any colleagues likely to be
interested: we particularly welcome newcomers to the Group whether members of
BCS or not.
